A relaxed space in Wapping's old warehouses
Riverside Tattoo sits inside Heritage Court on Sampson Street, a short walk from the Thames and Wapping station. It's the kind of studio reviewers describe as clean, spacious and calm — the walls hung with traditional flash, a Marshall in the corner, and plenty of natural light.
Walk-ins are welcome when an artist is free, but for a custom piece it's worth messaging ahead so the design can be drawn up with you first.

Do you take walk-ins, or do I need to book?
Both. Walk-ins are welcome whenever an artist is free, but for a custom piece it's best to message ahead so your design can be drawn up with you first. The quickest way to book is a message on Instagram.
How does booking and the deposit work?
A deposit secures your appointment and comes off the final price on the day. Deposits are generally non-refundable if you cancel with little notice, so let the studio know as early as you can if your plans change.
What styles do the artists work in?
The team covers custom and bespoke design, traditional and old-school, fine-line, colour and botanical, lettering and memorial pieces, and cover-ups or reworks. If you're not sure your idea fits, send it over and they'll tell you honestly and suggest the right artist.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 10:00–19:00, and closed on Sundays. The banner near the top of the page shows live whether the studio is open right now.
How much will my tattoo cost?
It depends on size, detail and how long the piece takes, so rather than quote a blanket figure the studio prices each design individually. Message your idea with a rough size and placement and they'll come back with a price.
How old do I need to be, and what should I bring?
You must be 18 or over to be tattooed in the UK, and you'll need a valid photo ID. Eat beforehand, come well-rested, and wear something that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Where exactly are you, and how do I get there?
You'll find the studio at Heritage Court, 8–10 Sampson Street, Wapping, London E1W 1NA — a few minutes from Wapping Overground and a short walk from St Katharine Docks and the river. Directions and a map are just above.
